Whats the big deal??

As I often screen through channels on the tube, I come across alot of self help programmes. There, people pour out their feelings and share with the world all the issues. The most annoying thing would be that these issues are so trivial and when the people cope well with it, they are considered heroes.

I feel that an example is in order. There was this girl in the Tyra Banks show that was "suffering" beacuse she was being bullied in school and so something had to be done. There was also another instance when this girl lost her mother during a holiday was trying to cope with life without her and the added pressure on her. I dont mean any offence at all and i sympathise with them totally but the issue I have is , so what?? I dont quite comprehend why only people in the developed countries especially in US have so many problems that are blown up but when in fact they are something that is very common. Developing countries experience disasters that are ten fold in terms of scale and they lose more but they dont have a medium for which they can express their grieve.

Developed countries i can fairly say take their position for granted. They will truly know what is hell when they go to less fortunate countries. Only then will they realise that being teased or breaking up with their boyfriends or simply being poor is miniscule in status. The media is too interested with sharing with the world the plight, no matter how small, with the rest of the world. Look at Hurricane Katrina. I know that there was devestation is New Orleans and all but I mean why isnt there coverage of all the other disaters? I admit that it was an ordeal but come on. I dont like it when people in bigger countries feel that they are the only ones in the world suffering when in fact they are not. We are getting more and more picky about these things and the fact that self help shows deem people who face meagre issues as heroes reiterates this point.

I know that there will never come a point when there would be more coverage for the poorer countries, but please people in bigger countries, when u think that u are facing one heck of a catastrophe, spare a thought for those who suffer more than u each second.

haha. great one. more like a retards way to releive stress. Watch other ppl expressing their stresses on Tyra, Oprah and Ellen. But there could also be a possibility of inner motive to get free houses or holidays from producers of these shows. But logically, the way these shows make money is because morons like us watch these kinda crap.
